Juan Angulo

Eng. Juan Daniel Angulo is a Geological Engineer from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica of Colombia (2003), Master in Mining from the University of Chile (2018) and Specialist in Geostatistical Evaluation of Deposits from the University of Chile (2009) with over 18 years of experience in the metals and mining-energy sector. Juan Daniel is a columnist in Economics and Public Policy applied to Natural Resources and a collaborator in publications about mining issues for national newspapers such as El Espectador and other regional newspapers in Colombia. Juan Daniel has more than 12 years of experience as a consultant for different mining companies and he is a professor of undergraduate and graduate programs at several universities in Colombia. Juan Daniel is a Research Fellow in Mining Economics and Finance at the Sustenable Institute.


Jose Angulo

Eng. José Nelson Angulo is an Environmental and Sanitary Engineer from the Universidad de la Salle of Colombia (1993) with an Advanced Diploma in Emergency Management from the Nova Scotia Community College of Canada (2020) and advanced training in Conflict Resolution with 27 years of professional experience in the metals and mining sector. José is the founder-manager of the Colombian consulting company Servicios Ambientales y Mineros, he has over 20 years of experience as an advisor and consultant to different mining companies and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different universities in Colombia. He has also delivered training workshops and seminars about socio-environmental issues in the mining sector in several Latin American countries. José is a Research Fellow in Responsible Mining at the Sustenable Institute.
